Studio Update...not yet...

In actual fact I wanted to give you a little studio update today but as luck would have it our studio day got canceled! But we are gonna hit the studio tomorrow for real! (I hope so)

Instead of my studio update you get something far better...a picture of my vegan breakfast of today! Haha!

"Tofuspeis" with sausages, toasted slices of bread, cereal with soy milk, and a refreshing cold red bull to have a great start this morning! In addition Rise Against´s "Appeal to Reason"...a dignified alternate for a lost studio day!

hard knocking truth

Check this out (a new commercial by peta2.de)

Also check out Martin Balluch´s Blog: Martin Balluch (animal right activist)

And for all those who are interested about our lyrics, here are the lyrics from a new song called "hard knocking truth"

-hard knocking truth-

I break out of your demon surrounded circle of death
I take the path of a clear mind and fucking quit
fuck traditions a rethinking has to come
this hell can´t no longer be ignored

it´s up to us to stop animal exploitation
it´s up to us to bring this cruel system down
it´s up to us to stop the killing
it´s up to us to make a fucking change

we raise our fists and walk our way
against the current, deny the games they want us to play
fight for the innocent victims, stop cruelty
the time to react is long overdue, can´t you see?

so don´t close your eyes
start to see
this is a fucking war

we are more than just a revolutionary youth
we are the punch in the face
we are the hard knocking truth

stop animal exploitation!

sweet, sweet tangerines...

On our way home from the show with Vera Cruz (by the way, they spent the night at Martin´s place) we talked, joked and laughed about tangerines who tastes like shit. Imagine, you want to eat a fresh, juicy, sweet tangerine then you peel off the paring and all that you get is a dry, wizen and awful tasting piece of whatever.
Later at home I started to compare the good looking but awful tasting tangerine with the nowadays hardcore scene (I know, what a stupid comparison, haha)
The Hardcore scene is known for things such as DIY, a strong community, friendship, love, compassion, passion, tolerance, topics like animal rights, veganism, the fight against sexism and racism, politics, ideas and so on. (this is the good looking paring of the hardcore tangerine)
But from my point of view it seems that there are not a lot of people who cares about the positive impact of hardcore.  They don´t take care about animal or human rights. They don´t take care about sexism, they don´t care about the message and the lyrics. They just care about trendy clothes, cool mosh moves, party and drinking. (and this is the awful tasting pulp of fruit)
It´s not just about heavy, loud music, high fives, mosh and stage dives, it is so much more than this!
Don´t get me wrong, I love to have a good time with my friends, to party and to go wild in front of the stage but this is not everything what hardcore is about.
It is more than just music… Hardcore has completely changed my life.
I know this is old hat but do something positive with your anger, support your local scene and bands who have something to say, get armed with a mind, start your own fanzine, start a band, take charge of your actions…together we can make a change! (Together we can grow a sweet, juicy and tasty hardcore tangerine, haha!)

By the way, our next show will be on March 9th in Linz at Ann & Pat Club:
We have the honor to share the stage with Father and Gun from Graz (check them out!)!  Hope to see a lot of new but also familiar faces there!

Greets!
